Three: Analyze Written Copies of a Speech and Delivery

 

PO 3: Given a transcript of a publically delivered speech, students will identify purpose and organization with 90% accuracy. 

PO 4:  Given a video of a speech delivery students will identify elements that make the delivery effective and compelling with 100% accuracy.

Four: Rhetorical Devices and Syntax

PO 5: Given a transcript of a publically delivered speech, students will accurately identify a minimum of five rhetorical devices.

PO 6: Given a paragraph, students will identify with 100% accuracy passive voice sentences and revise to active voice.

PO 9: Given a transcript of a publically delivered speech, students will with 100% accuracy identify rhetorical devices, syntax techniques, and rhetorical appeals in the speech.

Seven: Assessing Speech Analysis Skills
